Arrival to Bangkok
Approx. 18:00hrs, walk to the Silom Village. A delicious thai buffet with all the local specialities and sweets are nicely set up adjacent to a stage where Thai dancers are performing the classical dance in their glittering costumes. Arriving in Bangkok international airport, you’ll be greeted with a bright Thai smile by our representative and a private transport to your hotel.
After checking into the hotel, some rest & relax time before this evening’s dinner.
The Silom Village is made up to resemble the traditional old Thai style. Spacious and charming in old wood with pillars and small houses. The houses has been turned into shops selling handicraft and silk.
Now the Silom area is buzzing with street markets and open for own exploration.
Within the Silom Area you can easily stroll to restaurant Silom Village having fun getting close up to buzzing streets along the way.
We make your reservation, just present your voucher to restaurant staff which function as your pre-made reservation and payment.

Bangkok inside – out, Grand Palace, River Cruise & Massage
After a hearty breakfast we set out to catch Bangkok,
With our private van and local guide we takes a drive through town to the old part: “Rattanacosin”.
The Grand Palace & Wat Pho. ( 1 hr )
A magnificent place of cultural art, myth and Thai history which also houses the Jade Buddha statue, properly the most revered and sacred Buddha relic in Thailand.
Not far from the Grand Palace is oldest temple called ‘Wat Pho’ also known as the temple of the reclining Buddha.
Wat Pho is also an authentic therapeutic Thai massage school and home to the Chedis of the Kings.
At 46 meters in length and 15 meters high the Buddha is the largest in Bangkok and illustrates the passing of the Buddha into nirvana.
River Cruise. ( 45min )
From here we set out on the Chao Praya River and cruise through the charming canals where the local life and markets still thrives in small enclaves all along it’s meandering way.
We pass Wat Arun, the Temple of the Dawn along and many of the impressive buildings along the river,
Lunch a served at a local restaurant by the riverside.
Massage ( 1 hr )
On the way back to our hotel we stop at ‘Health Land’ which has professional well trained Thai massage therapists waiting for us.
In a beautiful soothing ambiance you have the choice of either one hour refreshing foot-massage or a one hour classic thai body-massage.

The late afternoon with the remains of the day open for own exploration.

Bangkok fun optionals
The day is free and easy at own disposal, Or join one or more of the fun optional tours:

Walking Tour Chinatown: approx 3 hours.
We start early morning around 9:00 Hrs where your local guide will meet you at the hotel lobby.
Together we go by taxi to ‘Yaowarat’ or Bangkok’s Chinatown.
Starting point in the heart of Chinatown at temple: ‘Wat Trimit’ known as the temple of the Golden Buddha due to it’s 3 meter tall Buddha statue crafted from 5.5 tons of solid gold.
A fine example of the Thai Sukhothai era style religious art.
From here the trials takes us though busy streets, frenetic street markets, winding through narrow alleyways passing traditional old shop houses selling everything from Buddhist amulets to recycled truck engines.
Along the way we get up close with culture differences of local Thai, Chinese & Muslim communities living in harmony.
If traffic & time allows it we catch a local street-side ‘Tuk Tuk’ for short fun ride.
Obs: We do no recommend unguided ‘Tuk Tuk’ rides over longer distances due to poor safety standards.

Transport back to the hotel with local taxi.

Half day Cycle Sightseeing:
Cycle sightseeing is a fun a popular way to get really of the beaten track and explore of the local environment.
Together with Arne, Bangkok-by-bike, you can explore the ‘other side’ of Bangkok, known as Thonburi.
Starting point is close to ‘Khao San Road’ where the good bikes are ready for a spin.
Along the way Arne will guide you and tell more about the areas and surrounding.
On the way back, we load the bikes on to a Long Tail boat and cruise back to the starting point.
Morning 08-12:30 or afternoon tour, 13.-17:30.
